Costa Rican Men's and Women's teams place 9th

At the end of the latest world championship of rafting our guys and gals did really well against some fierce competition. 30 + countries were here in Turrialba for the event.

Costa Rican "Cable Guys" [and gais] on Pacuare

Gracias "Zamo"! AMNET is getting ready to end the year with yet another Pacuare rafting "ride". A great cliente for many years this group of around 50 is one of the biggest so far for them. We must be doing something right.

Volcanologists Visit Turrialba

We had a trio of PHD volcanologists raft the Pacuare this month. They are working at Cloumbia University, the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory. Philipp Ruprecht wrote: Hi Lee, thanks again for a great trip down the Pacuare. I'll definitely recommend you guys! Cheers.

Turrialba in Rough Guide

We found this article about Turrialba in Rough Guide today. We agree with their observation that

"scenic Río Pacuaré is the pick of the bunch; regarded as one of the top five rafting rivers in the world, its class III and IV rapids gush between banks laden with primary jungle"

 

Loco's and Turrialba in Lonely Planet

The Lonely Planet website ran a short article about Turrialba. They mention how the town decided to take a more laid-back lifestyle over a frantic  rush towards being a huge tourist area. We think it was a good decision!

In the guide book they also say some nice things about Loco's [all true]. also check out their "chat room" and "bulletin board" for recent comments about our rafting tours.
